TYPES OF REPAIRS

MAIN LINE REPAIR

We diagnose and fix blockages or structural collapses in the lines connecting your home to the septic tank, or municipal sewer system ensuring a seamless flow. The main line is the primary sewer line that collects all the wastewater and sewage from a property and transports it to the municipal sewer system or a septic tank.

distribution box

D-BOX RESTORATION

The distribution box is critical for even effluent spread. A septic distribution box, also known as a D-box, is a small concrete or plastic structure that receives the effluent from the septic tank and distributes it  to the network of attached drain fields and pipes. The D box is a junction point where the effluent is divided and directed to different parts of the drain field. The distribution box plays a crucial role in ensuring that the wastewater is dispersed evenly throughout the drain field, preventing any part of the leaching field from becoming overloaded. We reset, repair, or replace compromised D-boxes to prevent leach field saturation

baffle

INLET/OUTLET BAFFLE REPLACEMENT

Inlet/Outlet baffles are critical components for the proper functionality of a septic tank.

At the inlet, the baffle slows down incoming wastewater, allowing heavy solids to settle at the bottom of the tank. This settling process is crucial as it prevents solid waste from escaping into the drainfield, which can lead to issues from blockages all the way up to total system failure.

Similarly, the outlet baffle ensures that only clear effluent from the middle layer of your tank flows out towards the drain field. This layer is relatively free of solid particles, allowing it to safely percolate into the soil without causing any damage.

SEPTIC TANK REPLACEMENT

Whether you have a concrete or plastic septic tank, damage and deterioration can occur. Concrete can crack or decay resulting in compromised structural integrity. Plastic tanks can warp when not installed properly or be crushed by the weight of vehicles and equipment when work is conducted on the property without knowledge of their location.

riser/lid combo

RISERS & ACCESS LIDS

Eliminate the need for excessive digging. Cleanout manholes shall be located at a depth not greater than 12 inches below final grade per CT health code. We install durable risers and safety-rated lids to provide easy access for future inspections and pumping.

hydrojetting

Sewer line jetting is an efficient and effective way of removing blockages and debris from sewer systems. It involves the powerful force of pressurized water that is jetted backwards through the pipe, allowing it to move dirt, debris, and sediment. Sewer line jetting can be used to unclog a blocked drain, clean out tree roots, or eliminate grease buildup in your pipes.

HYDRO-JETTING

septic with pumpchamber

Sewage/Effluent pumps are a required component of a septic system when the leaching field is at a higher elevation than the septic tank. As the effluent drains from the septic tank into the pump chamber, the effluent level will rise to a level which will activate a "on/off" float switch. Once the float switch is activated, the effluent is pumped to the leaching field. When the correct amount of effluent is dosed to the leaching field, the pump will then shut off.  When sewage/effluent pumps do not work properly, the effluent will continue to rise to a level within the pump chamber that will activate an alarm. The audible alarm will be located in the residence commonly near the electrical panel of the home and often omit a loud buzzing sound. The audible alarm is designed to alert the homeowner that the pump is not working properly and a qualified septic professional should be contacted to assess. It is important to maintain minimal water usage until the pump and components have be assessed. If ignored for a extended period of time, non-operational sewage/effluent pumps can result in sewage backups and clogging.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the common signs that my septic system needs repair?

Common indicators include slow-moving drains throughout the house, gurgling sounds in your plumbing, sewage backups, or unusually lush green patches of grass appearing over your leach field even during dry weather.

Is it possible to repair a leach field without replacing the whole thing?

In many cases, yes. Depending on the root cause—such as localized clogs or minor structural shifts—we can often perform targeted restoration. Our goal is always to find the most economical and least invasive solution for your property.

How long does a typical septic repair take to complete?

Most minor repairs, such as baffle replacements or pipe fixes, can be completed in a single day or less. More extensive restoration work might take 2-3 days. We prioritize minimizing disruption to your household during the process.

Do you provide septic repair services for real estate transactions?

Yes, we frequently work with homeowners and real estate agents to address inspection findings. We provide detailed reports and efficient repairs to ensure systems meet local health codes before the sale is finalized.
